I asked University of Sussex lecturer George Mackerron, who studies links between our environment and our happiness. As part of his PhD in Happiness and Environmental Quality, Mackerron launched Mappiness, an iPhone app that pinged people to ask where they were, who they were with, and how they felt at specific points during the course of the day. The project, which launched in 2010, received 3.5 million responses from 65,000 people across the UK.
I appreciate this view. I an independent but where conservatives often lose me is treating everything like a business. I a big fan of free trade and open competition, when it concerns private business, but I believe certain social institutions that benefit society, and allow business to be be more profitable by increasing consumer spending, should not be privatized.

Such comments leave me feeling incredibly defensive. How slow would I need to be for them to be happy? I could point out that the five women in my age group who ran faster than me at the masters in February have the advantage of living in sunny California, while I have to train through the rain of a Portland winter. Or I could acknowledge that Cordes was at a disadvantage, having just come back from an injury.
The sound you get from the OrigAudio Fold and Play Recycled Speakers will not compare to the expensive electric or battery powered speakers you may have at home or in your car. That is alright if you take into consideration that they cost less than $20 on Amazon, they are basically a cardboard box and they have to power outlet or batteries. When you take all that into consideration it is amazing that you get amplified sound at all let alone sound that translates into music and the spoken word.
